  POTSTICKERS
  They make them in-house and they're always amazing.  We were both dying with a cold and had a big bowl of Wor Won Ton Soup and Pot Stickers.  Yummmy.
  We've eaten at Golden bowl locations in this area for many years and always love it.  Kinda got to know the people in the Hughson store.  CONSISTENTLY great food.  We had been looking forward to eating here since we moved in 2016 to a town where all Chinese is dipped in pancake batter, deep fried to soak up lots of grease, and served with a catsup, five-spice & mayo sauce,  None of that in evidence EVER at Golden Bowl.
  My buddy a truck driver from here in Oregon found them a few months ago on my recommendation, and turns out he ate at THIS Golden Bowl twice this week.  Rave reviews form him also.  He says I have to try the Hot & Sour Soup.

  Have been here a few times. Wasn't how I remembered.  
  
  3 stars service.  5pm. Just one customer eating in?  They had a lot of to go orders. Service was ok. There is a language barrier so it'd help to be extra careful. Got my order wrong. Overall it was ok. Not sure if I'll return as the soup used to be my reason for eating here.
  
  3.5 stars Beef with oyster sauce. Beef was tender. Sauce was flavorful. Veggies had a weird sort of metallic taste. Ruined the rest of it.
  
  3 stars won ton soup. This was disappointing. I've got this here around 4 times. This is the worst. Broth tasted like raw veggie broth. Pork was good. Won tons were average. Veggies yuck like the beef plate.

  I was really debating whether or not I wanted to give Golden Bowl two stars or one, but after reading several other complaining reviews I decided to go all out. I am sorry, kinda.
  
  Some people do not mind if they find a hair in their food and some people do. It is disgusting regardless and I understand mistakes happen. My experience here last night definitely was not up to par. I came here (party of 2) and was seated immediately. Thank you. When our waitress asked us for drinks we requested two iced waters and two hot waters. For some reason she gave me this look like she did not understand what I was saying. I know I was not coming off rude so I was really confused. Anyways, she brings me the drinks and then we ask for a few minutes extra to order.
  
  Okay, but why did she take hella long to come back? Whatever. So we order- Seafood combo rice plate, shrimp chow mein and a small egg flower soup. The rice on the seafood combo plate definitely was not equal to the amount of seafood on the plate. Trash. The egg flower soup was alright. Nothing spectacular. Now the real complaint for this review...
  
  Man, when I say I was loving my shrimp chow mein. It was real deal shmaaackin. I am eating it, enjoying it, right? Practically finished. And then I take a bite and I am chewing. I feel this sharp pinch at the top of my mouth pallet. So in my head I am like, "Maybe a shrimp tail shell?" so I scramble it out of my mouth and it is this small metal thing. I immediately show my friend what was in my food. I quietly go to the front (did not want to make a scene, definitely should have) and inform my waitress what I discovered. She looks at it and goes, "Maybe your braces?" HUH? My braces? The f/ck my braces got to do with that? First of all, my wires are not thick like that nor do brackets look like that.
  
  What I found in my chow mein was not a hair. Had I swallowed it, I could have choked. And that would have definitely been a law suit. The fact that she took the situation lightly was not funny at all. Her coworker was extremely apologetic and I do appreciate that, but honestly, not okay for that to be happening. What if it was a child eating that food? More of a sticky situation huh? That small piece of metal could have made a HUGE difference if anything were to happen to me.
  
  I will not come back here again.

  The food and service are both great here! Gave four stars instead of five because the carpet and seating needs to be changed. However, food and service are always excellent, definitely recommend this restaurant.

  This place is ok.  being that there's not to may Chinese restaurants to choose from here in town if your craving it then this is the spot to go to. It  also is a little overpriced, customer service is also ok. Restaurant is always empty, seems like everyone orders to go.
